Top Comment: If you are using any reputable VPN you will be fine. It's always a good idea to use a prepaid card or a Revolut account etc. which you top up just for subscriptions.

Urban Studies vs. Urban Planning (extended credit)

Main Post: Urban Studies vs. Urban Planning (extended credit)

Top Comment:

Urban Planning is harder to get into than Urban Studies, so theoretically it'll be easier to transfer into. Extended credit would mean you would need 120 credits instead of 90 credits to graduate- but since you are coming from the US I have no idea how it'll work in terms of what courses you'd need in your ECP cause most students come from CEGEP and we would have our pre-reqs before going to uni (except in some cases), so I suggest speaking with your academic advisor for clarity. Also you can take a look here http://www.concordia.ca/academics/undergraduate/calendar/current/sec31/31-130.html#urbancourses Urban Planning requires an honours or specialization whereas Urban Studies can be a major/ minor so in theory you could let's say major in Urban Studies and minor in Biology (as an example)

And it really depends what you want to do after your bachelors, whether you want to practice in Quebec or go back to the US--- to practice in Quebec, you would need to learn french and be a member here, https://ouq.qc.ca/etre-urbaniste/devenir-membre/ also the Concordia Urban Planning program is not accredited so you would need a masters in McGill after to be a licensed Urban Planner.

urban outfitters return policy

Main Post:

I have seen things about Urban Outfitters having an unlimited return policy for instore credit and people just “exchanging” clothes when they get bored of them. I have a ridiculous amount of unworn clothes I bought thinking I would wear and never did, would I be able to return them? How lax are the employees about this?

Top Comment: As someone who worked at a store that does this, I’d say anything unworn from the past year is okay to exchange for credit. If you’re talking clothing that was purchased over a year ago, they most likely will not let you exchange. We can tell when it’s bought from the style number/barcode on the price tag. If it’s not on the price tag, we can tell from the label. We had a customer try and exchange clothing with tags from 3 years ago and we had to very awkwardly and publicly tell her that since it was from 2017 we couldn’t exchange. Also personally, I wouldn’t exchange clothing older than a year. People took advantage of this policy at places like LL Bean and now they had to revise their life time guarantee because shitty people would use clothing for 5 years and then bring it in to exchange. Obviously your clothing is NWT so not the same situation, but the LL Bean thing just makes me mad lol
